Mary Mouser plays her own best friend—and worst enemy—in the Disney Channel original movie "Frenemies."

TFK:

You play two different characters in Frenemies: tomboy Savannah and uptown girl Emma. What was it like to have a double role?

MARY:

It was a ton of fun. I get to play my own frenemy. I was a little nervous at first because it’s something new. I got the opportunity to do double of what I love.

TFK:

What were the biggest challenges to playing two people?

MARY:

It would have to be finding that light switch that let me go back and forth between the characters for each take.

TFK:

How did you get into each of their heads?

MARY:

It was easy. I feel like I have a lot of both of them in me. I can be very similar to Emma and Savannah. It was just a matter of pulling out different parts of myself.

TFK:

Do you relate to one more than the other?

MARY:

I’m comfortable with having guy friends, like Savannah, and she’s relaxed and comfortable with herself. She doesn’t look for approval from people. I strive to be that way. Like Emma, I love to be a girly girl... and I would love to have a butler if I had that opportunity!

TFK:

What were the most memorable scenes to film?

MARY:

My favorite scene would have to be the birthday party scene. We did a dance scene, which was a lot of fun. I liked filming things like that where the cast got to be together in a group.

TFK:

What would be your advice to kids who are facing a frenemy situation?

MARY:

I would tell them to communicate with the other person, because I think that’s the biggest problem a lot of the time.

TFK:

It's the start of a brand new year. What are your resolutions for 2012?

MARY:

Instead of a resolution, I have a goal. My goal is to get more involved with charities.
