Gary Ross Reads Bartholomew Biddle
November 29, 2012Gary Ross Reads Bartholomew Biddle
Gary Ross has written and directed or produced big movies like The Hunger Games and The Tale of Desperaux. Now, he's written his first book for kids—with a twist. The book, Bartholomew Biddle and the Very Big Wind, is written entirely in verse. The 92-page book, illustrated by Matthew Myers, tells the tale of a boy who uses his bedsheet to fly on the wind to adventure. Ross stopped by the TFK offices, in New York City, to chat about the book and read an excerpt. “Bartholomew has a wanderlust,” Ross told TFK. “He wants to take a big bite out of the world.” Watch the video above to hear Ross read from Bartholomew Biddle and the Very Big Wind.
