Celebrating Reading
March 02, 2012Celebrating Reading
On March 2, children and adults around the country took part in the National Education Association's 2012 Read Across America day. The annual event, which falls on beloved children's author Dr. Suess' birthday, encourages kids to read every day. TFK was on the scene at this year's kickoff celebration at the New York Public LIbrary, in New York City, where The Lorax stars Danny DeVito and Zac Efron read to 300 students from New York City schools. Fifth graders from the well-known PS 22 chorus, in Staten Island, New York, also performed a special song. Watch the video above for highlights from the event. (Produced by Kelli Plasket)
