Chasing Sharks

Scientists from Ocearch have begun tagging and tracking great white sharks to learn about the mysterious animal. Ocearch's goal is to gather data on the great white’s movement, behavior, and health. They take blood and tissue samples before attaching a satellite tag to the dorsal fin. The whole process takes 15 minutes. So far, the group has tagged 80 great whites. Lydia, seen in the video above, is one of the sharks that has been tagged.
