Invention: Bloodhound SCC car

In 1997, Andy Green set a land-speed record of 763 miles per hour. Now, he's out to break that record with the BLOODHOUND SSC. He is shooting for 1,000 miles per hour. This car is powered by both jet and rocket engines. The Bloodhound project is about more than speed. Green and his teammates hope to inspire a generation of scientists and engineers. Start your engines! Watch the animation video above to see how it works (Video provided by the Bloodhound Project)
