Invention: Nano Air Vehicle
December 02, 2011Invention: Nano Air Vehicle
It looks and flies like a hummingbird. But don't be fooled. This tiny aircraft, called the NANO AIR VEHICLE (NAV), is a spying device. The remote-controlled, $4 million NAV has a built-in video camera. Because it is so small, it can go where humans can't. It can scout out safe spots in combat zones, search for earthquake survivors and even locate a chemical spill. Watch this video from TIME.com to see how it works (Video provided by Almudena Toral/TIME.com).
