In the new Disney Channel original movie, Girl vs. Monster, actress Kat McNamara, 16, plays a classic high-school mean girl named Myra, who is also the lead singer of a band. But there is a spooky twist on her character. Myra “gets possessed by a monster, and she becomes even more evil,” Kat told TFK. The monster was accidentally unleashed by Myra's foe, a fearless teen singer named Skylar (Olivia Holt), who learns she comes from a family of monster hunters. Soon it’s up to Skylar to put a stop to the monster madness. Recently, Kat stopped by the TFK offices to chat about the Girl vs. Monster, bullying and some fun facts about herself. Girl vs. Monster premieres October 12 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Disney Channel. Encores will air October 20 on Disney XD and October 27 on Disney Channel.
