For many, the coming of spring is a time to celebrate. People in Brazil enjoyed the annual festival Carnaval from February 13 to 21. People in New Orleans, Louisiana, paraded for Mardi Gras on February 17. And in early March, people in South Asia celebrated the Hindu festival of Holi. Participants tossed colorful powder (above). “May the colors of Holi bring happiness into everyone’s life,” Indian president Droupadi Murmu said in a statement on March 3.
