Three Sumatran tiger cubs born at Attica Zoological Park, in Athens, Greece, are now two months old. On September 8, the cubs received ID microchips and their first vaccinations. Their birth is a milestone for the critically endangered species. “The Sumatran tiger is one of the most threatened tiger species in the world,” says Theodoros Babilis, head keeper of cats and monkeys at the zoo. There are only about 400 Sumatran tigers left in the wild.
