Keeping Clean

Germs live on objects you touch every day. Cleaning these objects well is part of good hygiene. Kelly Reynolds is an expert on the subject of germs. She says we need to reduce the bad bacteria we’re exposed to. They cause sickness. Below are three common household objects. Learn how to keep them germ-free.
Reusable Bottles
When water sits in a reusable bottle (above), germs can grow. Change the water often. Clean the bottle, too. Fill it with soapy water. Shake it. Dump the water out and rinse the soap out.
Faucets

Your hands might be dirty when you turn on a water faucet. This is especially true in the bathroom. Wipe faucets daily. You can use a paper towel and soap.
Toothbrushes

Toilets release germs when flushed. Store your toothbrush in a drawer. Or use a toothbrush cap. Fewer germs will get to it. And dry your toothbrush after you use it. This stops bacteria from growing.
