What Do You See in Space?
A comet is passing Earth for the first time since the days of the Neanderthals. It’s called Comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF), and is visible with a telescope, binoculars, or even the naked eye, if it remains bright enough. NASA says the comet will be closest to Earth around February 1. Will you go out and try to spot it? Stories about space can have different purposes. They can explain objects or a natural phenomenon you might see in the sky. Or, like this story about Comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF), they might just tell you what to look for.
