There are more than 3,000 species of nudibranchs. They vary in color, shape, and size. Here are three. What do they look like to you?
Pikachu
This sea slug (above) was nicknamed after a Pokémon character. It grows less than an inch long. It is usually orange or yellow.
Leaf Sheep
Like a sheep, this sea slug grazes. It feeds on algae on the seafloor. That is where it gets its color. An adult is less than half an inch long.
Spanish Dancer
This is one of the largest sea slugs. It can be more than a foot long. Its nickname comes from the way it swims through the water.
