Hoppers is about a group of scientists who learn how to “hop” into the minds of robotic beavers to learn firsthand how the animal kingdom operates. But when 19-year-old Mabel gets involved, she winds up having to save both the animal and human worlds.

The movie is meant to feel like “a roller coaster,” director DANIEL CHONG (inset, right) told TIME for Kids. “Everyone’s screaming and yelling and having fun.”

Producer NICOLE GRINDLE (inset, left) says imagination is key in the movie. She encourages kids to explore their interests: “A lot of people who are really accomplished adults are people who started when they were kids.” Hoppers hits theaters on March 6.
