Who’s Your Pick?

Every year, TIME magazine announces a Person of the Year. This recognition goes to someone who has had a lot of influence recently or who represents the year in some way. The title has gone to such people as Elon Musk, Pope Francis, and Greta Thunberg. United States presidents and other world leaders have been given the honor, too.

Junior Journalists, we want to know: Who’s your pick for Person of the Year? Look back on 2023. What person represents the biggest changes or the most-important moments? Make your case in a persuasive paragraph. Then ask a teacher, parent, or guardian to send us your submission at timeforkids.com/tfkpressclub or tfkpressclub@time.com for a chance to be published in TIME for Kids.
