The Cat’s Back
Things get way out of hand in The Cat in the Hat, in theaters now. The Cat and his Things are back, in a new time-traveling adventure based on the beloved Dr. Seuss books.
Siblings Gabby and Sebastian have moved to a new town with their mom. Sebastian is a “very positive, energetic kid,” TIAGO MARTINEZ (left), who voices him, told TFK Kid Reporter Adam Sadi. He’s always trying to cheer up Gabby, who’s “not so positive.” Gabby has a hard time embracing their new home. XOCHITL GOMEZ, who voices Gabby, told TFK Kid Reporter Bevy Lustig that she was “very excited” to draw inspiration from the classic Cat in the Hat books. She wanted to make Gabby fun, she says, “but also add a little attitude.”
As the kids adjust to their move, the Cat steps in, bringing his signature mayhem. The result is a thrilling twist on a classic. With new characters and an expanded world, “it has moments for everyone,” Tiago says.
