The Magic of Matilda
Maybe you’ve read Roald Dahl’s Matilda. Maybe you’ve seen the 1996 movie. Or maybe you’ve seen the stage musical. Now the magical tale is steaming on Netflix.
Roald Dahl’s Matilda: The Musical is adapted from the stage musical. It tells the story of a young book-lover. She finds her magic and saves her school from an evil headmistress. She does it with her kindly teacher, Miss Honey, at her side. Alisha Weir plays Matilda. “We can all really take something from Matilda,” she told TIME for Kids. “You can take away to be strong like Matilda and have lots of courage.”
Lashana Lynch plays Miss Honey.
