Some museums display art. Others focus on science. But the Strong National Museum of Play is all about fun. The museum’s Toy Hall of Fame honors toys. Each one has “inspired creative play” over many years. That’s according to the museum’s website. Soon, the museum will induct new toys.

The museum is in Rochester, New York. On September 17, it released a list of 12 toys. Some will join the Hall of Fame in November.

Judges will choose which toys belong in the Toy Hall of Fame. Here are some fan favorites.

Famous for Fun

The National Toy Hall of Fame was created in 1998. Eighty-seven toys have been inducted since then. Last year, My Little Pony made the cut. This year’s list includes plush toys and board games. (See images above.) But it also includes snow. Actual snow, from the sky. The museum calls it “a toy like no other.”

Who chooses the winners? First, the public submitted ideas. Then the museum chose finalists. From September 17 to 24, fans voted on the finalists. Judges are now making their final picks. Which toy do you think deserves a spot?
