“Hunters” Is a Hit
KPop Demon Hunters is Netflix’s most-watched original movie ever. Plus, it’s the company’s first number 1 box-office hit. The soundtrack is also a hit. The animated film opened in theaters on August 22. It’s about a group of demon-fighting K-pop stars. Their song “Golden” has topped the Billboard Hot 100 for four weeks, as of September 8. That’s thanks in part to what NPR calls “robust streaming numbers.” Forbes says it’s a first for a K-pop girl group.
