Magic Returns

Cherry Tree Lane gets a familiar visitor in Mary Poppins Returns. It’s a sequel to the 1964 movie Mary Poppins. The new movie follows Michael Banks and his children. The family has suffered a great loss, so magical nanny Mary Poppins (Emily Blunt, back row) returns to bring joy back into their lives. There are adventures, dance numbers, and original songs. The movie is based on the book series written by P.L. Travers. It opens in theaters on December 19.

Actress PIXIE DAVIES (front row center) plays Anabel Banks. “My character is very sassy, and she doesn’t want anyone to take over,” she told TFK Kid Reporter Tiana Sirmans. “At first, she does not believe in magic. But once she does, things start to get better.”

What was the most exciting part of doing the movie? “Going on the high wire and flying across a magical sea world,” Pixie says. “It was really fun.”
