The 2026 Nobel Prize winners were made official from October 5 to 12. The winners, called laureates, were recognized for contributions to fields such as chemistry, literature, and medicine. The Nobel Peace Prize honors people who have promoted peace. This year, it went to Navanethem Pillay, a judge from South Africa. In a press release, the Nobel committee said Pillay “brought hope to the victims of violence and conflict.”
