Slam Dunk
The movie GOAT is now in theaters. In it, Will Harris wants to be roarball’s GOAT: greatest of all time. Roarball is a fierce sport played by animals. Since Will was a kid, he’s dreamed of joining the pros on the court. But he’s only a goat, deemed “too small to ball.” When his favorite team, the Vineland Thorns, is on a losing streak, he gets the chance of a lifetime.
PATTON OSWALT voices the Thorns’ head coach, Dennis. He’s a slightly awkward proboscis monkey who lacks the confidence he once had. He loves roarball, but is often overpowered by his players.
Oswalt says viewers will enjoy his character, but they might feel frustrated. “They’ll want him to assert himself a little more,” he told TFK Kid Reporter Marvin Pierre. “Lucky for them, there is definitely a scene where that happens.”
Oswalt hopes families see GOAT together. “You’ll come away from this movie feeling a lot better about yourself and a lot better about life,” he says.
