President Joe Biden gave his State of the Union address on February 7. He spoke before Congress at the United States Capitol.

Much of the speech focused on the economy. Biden said his policies have created millions of jobs. He said they had also lowered inflation. Biden called on Congress to “finish the job” by funding programs that will help working people.

Biden said the COVID-19 public health emergency will expire in May. And he spoke about protecting democracy at home and abroad. “We’re the only country that has emerged from every crisis we’ve ever entered stronger than when we got into it,” he said.
