Swinging into Action
Spider-Man: Brand New Day, coming to theaters July 31, continues Spider-Man’s journey in a world where people remember him—but no one remembers Peter Parker. In Spider-Man: No Way Home, Dr. Strange cast a spell to save the Earth and cause everyone to forget that Spider-Man was Peter Parker. Parker must navigate this new reality while protecting the city, dealing with a dangerous new mutation, and fighting an enemy unlike any before.
The movie, which is rated PG-13, was directed by Destin Daniel Cretton. It’s his first Spider-Man movie. Tom Holland returns as Spider-Man, and Zendaya reprises her role as MJ. This is the duo’s fourth Spider-Man movie. And it’s filled with action and excitement. In a July interview in New York City, Zendaya told TIME for Kids that there are “so many incredible action sequences with really, really exciting villains.”
“But I also think so much of the story is about Peter Parker,” she added, “and about the human being behind the superhero. And I think a lot of people will connect with that, hopefully a lot of young people.”
