There are different types of places in a community. They are where people can get what they need. There are places to work, to play, and to learn. Take a walk or ride around. Where can you go?
Schools
Schools are where students go to learn. Big cities have many schools. Small towns have only a few.
Libraries
You can borrow books from a library. You will need a library card. A librarian can help you. Libraries also host community events.
Stores
There are places to shop. This is a grocery store. It sells food. Some shops sell clothes. Others sell things for your hobbies or home.
Parks
Post Offices
Mail comes from the post office. Postal workers sort letters here. People can send cards and packages.
Fire Stations
See that big red door? There is a fire truck inside. Tools and uniforms are stored in the station. Firefighters are inside too.
Police Stations
This is police headquarters. Police officers write reports inside. They keep their gear and cars here.
