Color Our World

People everywhere celebrate Earth Day on April 22. It’s a day set aside for us all to do our part to help the planet. But you don’t have to wait for April 22 to show your appreciation for the environment. That’s something we can, and should, do year-round.

In honor of Earth Day, TIME for Kids teamed up with Take Action Global. It’s a nonprofit group that raises awareness of climate issues. Together, we put out a call to students in schools everywhere. We asked them to make art in response to one of three themes: “Planet + People as Partners,” “Planet vs. Plastic,” and “Earth as an Ecosystem.”

The artwork on these pages represents a small portion of the outstanding submissions we received. Can you tell which theme each artist was responding to? Which is your favorite? Share your thoughts, and your own Earth Day artwork, at tfkeditors@time.com.
