Red Giant

Meet the giant Pacific octopus. It is found all around the Pacific Ocean. It is the world’s biggest octopus. The biggest one ever known was 30 feet across. That is about as long as a school bus.

These animals have a big appetite. They eat crabs and fish, like other octopuses. They even eat other octopuses.

Don’t let this animal’s size fool you. You might not spot one in the wild. It builds a den out of rocks and hides there. It prefers to be alone.

These animals are smart. They are sneaky, too. They can squeeze their bodies through tiny spaces. And away they go!
