Service dogs are important. They help people who have disabilities. They start training when they are young. They retire when they get old. This page shows the life of an average service dog.
Age 0–2
A service dog spends its first two years training (above). It learns special skills. These dogs are trained by experts.
Age 2–10

A service dog works for about eight years. It knows its job. It helps with what its owner needs.
Age 10 and up

The dog retires from service. It spends its time as a pet. The dog has earned a nice break!
