What Comes from Trees?
There are many types of trees. Some are used for everyday products. Read about how we use different parts of trees.
Paper
Paper (above) is made from tree trunks. The wood is turned to pulp. The pulp is pressed flat into paper.
Root Beer
Have you had a root beer float? Root beer used to be made from sassafras tree roots.
Cinnamon
Cinnamon is a spice. It comes from a tree. The tree’s inner bark is peeled. Then it is dried.
Syrup
Sap is a fluid found in trees. Sap from maple trees is collected. It is used to make syrup.
