Watch it Grow!

Plants grow in stages. Follow the arrows to learn about their life cycle.

1. A seed is planted.

A seed needs soil to grow in. It needs water and sunlight, too.

2. The seed sprouts.

The shell of a seed breaks open. Roots and a stem come out. This is called germination.

3. The plant grows.

Roots grow into the soil. A stem pushes above ground. The plant is a seedling.

4. New seeds are made.

The plant is fully grown. The fruit has seeds inside. The cycle can start again.
