What Makes a Story?

Reading stories is fun. So is writing them. Stories are like a roller coaster. They have ups and downs. A story has three main parts.

The beginning is the first part. We meet the characters. We learn the setting. That is where the story takes place. The middle is when the most things happen. The characters must find a solution to a problem. The ending ties it all together. We find out what happened to the characters. They learn from the problem. The reader can learn something too.
